Strem Chemicals UK Ltd, has had a presence in the UK and Ireland for over twenty five years, it distributes a range of high purity chemicals and specialist materials. Our clients include academic, industrial and governmental research laboratories as well as commercial scale businesses in the pharmaceutical, microelectronic and chemical industries
You will be accountable for the development of the full customer service experience, ensuring that customers receive the highest quality service. Responsibilities include:
-Proactive management of customer expectations
-Input to marketing Strategy in conjunction with marketing Director
-Establish processes to drive continuous improvement
-Setting service objectives and targets
-Engagement of staff
-Good IT skills, VBA/Excel macro programming an advantage.
-The ability to understand customer needs and behaviours
-Must be self-motivated and enthuse others
-Excellent communication skills at all levels of organisations
– Chemistry background would be an advantage.
-Must be comfortable around dogs

This role is based in Newton, Cambridge but may involve some travel within UK, USA, France and EIRE
Typical office hours 9am to 5pm but flexible hours possible together with job share if suitable candidates can be found. In any job share salary would be split pro rata.
